This is what happens when you follow your heart….. You walk down a path and can never return to where you came from. Forever changed by the experience, you will be. Growth, love, happiness, encountering fear and hate…all of these will be a part of the new road you are traveling along. Following your heart is tuning into your highest self and trusting your deepest instinct. You feel it in your low belly, an unwavering conviction that you must listen to. It is as if it is coming from some hidden source, a secret friend who tries to give you tips along the way. Many people ignore this feeling and continue on with their normal, “safe” lives. It is sometimes easier to stay on the straight and narrow path, passing by normal sights, wearing comfortable shoes, always seeing the same faces and places each and every day. To take a leap of faith, trust the voice inside, and walk down a new path is to be a warrior. It is taking control of your life and stepping into the adventure that awaits you. Fear flies out of your mind as you begin to follow your heart and your inner instinct. More and more you begin to trust yourself more than any outside source. When this occurs, your sense of personal power begins to burn like a bright fire. Nothing can touch this inner strength. No one can deter you from what your personal destiny is. The demons of fear, hate and shame inside are slowly burned to ashes. Ghosts of them may remain, but their power is no longer a match for the new you. A fire burns deep inside filling you with life and vitality. Like any fire, it can slowly dwindle down and die unless it is tended to. Sticks and kindling, in the form of trust and risk taking, will help to keep the fire burning brightly. If you feel it becoming extinguished inside, take note of what is happening and do something to change it. You will know specifically what you need to do to increase your personal power and self-esteem.
